FIRE ASSAY
Fire assaying is a fusion process used to determine the concentration of metal in ore by placing samples and a combination of fluxes into a high temperature furnace. When heated metal content is separated from sample compounds and used to gauge the recovery of precious metals.
Fire and Metallic Fire Assay are typically performed for Au and Ag and may take longer to complete than instrumental testing, but assay determination provides extremely accurate results.
